This course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn machine polishing quickly and correctly. We designed this one-day program for beginners and enthusiasts who want to understand how to prepare paintwork, identify defects and safely improve paint clarity. During the training, you learn every step needed to start polishing cars with confidence. We keep the training practical and easy to follow. You work with real equipment and real panels. You gain skills you can use immediately in your own detailing work.

What Will I Learn in This Machine Polishing Course?

This machine polishing course covers all essential stages of paint preparation and correction. You start with safe washing techniques, decontamination and pre-cleaning. You learn how to inspect paint using studio lamps and handheld lights to identify swirls, holograms, buffer trails, oxidation, deep scratches and orange peel.

We also explain different paint types and hardness levels, which is a key skill in paint correction training in Ireland. You learn how to take paint depth readings on different substrates and how to interpret the results before starting correction.

We teach dual action machine polishing from the basics, including pad types, pad priming, pad cleaning and compound selection. You will perform real machine polishing practice using test panels. Every student works hands-on to build confidence and technique.

Where Does the Training Take Place and How Does It Work?

Our machine polishing course takes place at our training centre in Ferbane, Co. Offaly (R42YR27). The course starts at 9:15 am. You can pay in full or secure your place with a €100 deposit and pay the remaining balance on the day. We run small group sessions with a maximum of 6 people, giving you more time on the machine and personalised guidance.
